Has Anyone Put A Throttle Body Spacer On A 1997 To 2003 Ford F150 With A 5.4 Triton?

31 May 2009I am considering a throttle body spacer for a mod on my 99 f150 ext cab with a 5.4 but have not yet made the purchase i want to know what the results are from someone who has done this modification or knows someone that has done this modification i heard that they are only good for about 1 or 2 mpg and i heard that they hurt mpg so i would like to hear from someone who knows first hand
Ford F150 Ext Cab 5.4 triton V8 4×4 with a k and n air filter and the rest of the truck is factory stock

Throttle body spacers are complete wastes of money. Your better off saving your money and buying a handheld tuner. That way you can improve your MPG or add more power depending on what you need at the time. There is nothing that adding a half inch plate of metal in between the plenum and TB that will had MPG or power. The other step for getting more MPG is to change the gear ratio in your truck. That will make your acceleration drop though.
