26 Feb 2010Has anyone ever replace the lower control arm on a mercury cougar (drivers-front). I have a V6 engine and it looks like the engine actually has to be lifted to remove one of the cotrol arm mounting bolts. Has anyone ever done this?

I embarked on the simple process of taking off my shock absorber and installing a adjustable coilover complete kit.
So I undscrew the top 2 nuts easy.
Now the bottom part ….. OMG
