I assume you mean to ask how to convert from auto to manual locking hubs on an 88 4Runner.
Warn makes quality replacement hubs and also has instructions available on their web site (once you navigate to the part you need).
If you are looking to convert _to_ auto hubs – then it is likely more involved.

8 Sep 2009I have a spare 700r4 transmission, which is the same transmission that is in my truck, except that the spare uses the speedometer cable, and the one in the truck uses a speed sensor. Can I just swap the tailshaft of mine and put it on the other one.
