Auto Zone rents a master cylinder bleeder set, hopefully you have one of these around you ( Free of charge)
Or you fill the resivour (M.Cylinder) start with passenger rear tire have someone pump brakes 3 times and hold while you open the bleeder valve close [...]
I always ask the same stupid question every time I change one but how much do i torque the oil pan bolts and is there a specific order to the this model I am suppose to tighten them in?

Loosen the motor mounts, remove fan blade bolts, slightly raise the front of the engine, unbolt the pan, slide towards the transmission,turn at right angle to engine, slide out from under the pickup with the pan in your hands.

A mechanic said that that fords were awful for that and that the rubber ones were terrible about leaking,my 95 f150 has a bad leak and its gonna run about $275 just for labor.

4 Feb 2010I’m replacing theoilpan gasket in a 6 cyl 4.9 its on a 83 ford f150. do i have to take the motor out or can i just lift it far enough to remove the pan. If theirs any other steps that i need to take they would be appreciated greatly.

2. Loosen the fan shroud
3. Remove the motor mount nuts [18 mm socket]
4. Place a small length of 2X4 on top of a bottle jack.
5. Align jack under harmonic balancer
6. Raise engine until the intake plenum contacts the firewall
